* Adds replaceCore function that takes a matchVect

* Fixes error reporting, adds tests

* Switches PRECONDITION to ValueError exceptions

* Fixes MatchVectType annoyance in swig.  Don't know why this is necessary.

* Silences warnings

* Adds working doctests and better explanations.
